Chiropractic and Golf

With the increased popularity of golf and the number of recreational golfers expanding, we are continuing to see rapid increases in the number of golf injuries in the clinic.  It is this and my personal addiction to the sport that motivated me to seek further education not just in the treatment of these injuries but in prevention as well.

The best way to avoid an injury is to prevent them with proper conditioning and swing mechanics. Golf injuries can very easily become chronic as a result of continued activity, lack of rest or proper treatment.

Factors like strength, flexibility, balance, endurance, stability, power, vision and nutrition all influence body mechanics.  Utilizing our physical screening process, I will measure your ability to generate and transfer speed as it relates to the golf swing.  I will then isolate any physical limitations that prevent or restrict your abilities, then design and prescribe a custom-conditioning program to address these faults.  Golfers need to be physically conditioned to handle the stress that the golf swing places on the body.

We specialize in golf-specific injuries and injury inducing swing mechanics, advanced swing faults, wrist and ankle physical screening procedures, and provide a detailed medical evaluation called the "SFMA" - Selective Functional Movement Assessment.
